"We don't feel this Riu should be a "Palace". It's not up to Palace standards that we've been to in Mexico. Staff barely speaks any English. Take a look at the pools in the evenings. They are filthy and weren't cleaned during our five day stay. There was mold on the walls of our family suite. We have no reason to return to this resort!"

"We were on the 3rd floor and our AC was set to the lowest temp of 15 degrees Celcius, however it was very hot in our room and it felt like 75 degrees. Our toilet wouldn’t flush for the first 48 hours, but thankfully the staff was able to fix it. On our last night the resort experienced a power outage around 5 am cutting out the air conditioning. Other than these few hiccups we had an amazing stay! The beach was by far the best amenity. The buffet wasn’t great but the restaurants were fantastic (just make sure to make a reservation). Staff was very friendly and we made friends with many staff members! The resort grounds was gorgeous and very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and would visit again!"

"Night staff were horribly rude, there was no liquor at the entire property other than beers for the night when they had a beach party from 8pm onwards, finally the flush didn't work for the room we got assigned and the entire resort was apparently packed so were asked to use the washroom at the lobby for the night."

One of the highlights was the 24-hour bar offering fresh food at all times. It was incredibly convenient and added great value to the stay. Additionally, the kids’ areas were excellent—always secure, clean, and supervised by friendly staff, which made it a comfortable environment for families. Overall, a solid experience with great service and family-friendly amenities."
