「The staff was very helpful when I change my stay from 3 night to 2 nights. They also were nice enough to change me from a 2nd floor room to the first floor when they found out that I was having a knee replacement. The ebening after my surgery my sister went to the Bar/Restaurant and was able to get us someting to eat which was very good. 「Paul and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Lovely old stately home converted to BnB, with delightful breakfast next day. The suites are large and very comfortable and just dripping with classic furnishings appropriate to a late 19th century stately home.」

「Really enjoyed my stay. Staff very friendly. Nice location, off the lake. Just a couple of issues. Tough to locate some basic necessities, like cups, dishes silverware. But if you ask staff, they will definitely help. Rooms a little small and slanted. Restaurant only opened Thursday through Sunday, and I was not aware of this. Invited my in laws to dinner there on a Wednesday, only to find out after they arrived, that the restaurant was closed.」

The manager allowed us to check-in a few hours early to freshen-up before attending a funeral, and then she waived the early check-in fee - CLASSY LADY!!」

「The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

Clean, cheap, and quiet. Discovering Willie’s Bagel Cafe at the motel entrance was a bonus! The veggie omelette and fresh coffee were the fuel I needed to get back on the road.
