「This was the most perfect hotel we’ve ever stayed at. From the service, to the property itself, to the food, everything was perfect and so methodically thought out. We had an ATV tour one day and came back with muddy boots and they cleaned them for us for free without us asking. In that moment I knew we were coming back to this same hotel every time we visit Costa Rica, can’t wait to come back to see the completed expansion in 2028. 「Breakfast goes from 6:40am-10:00am. great selection of food from rice, beans, chilaquiles, meats, plantains, fruit, cereals, there's even an omlette station and waffle station. Tea selections include black, green and herbal. Hot coffee and hot milk available as well. Juices usually were orange and some type of red (our guess was papaya). Filling because it is all you can eat. 」

「Lavas Tacotal is such a gem. The grounds are unbelievably lush, and the volcano is just beyond. We saw toucans in the bordering jungle, and the flora was breathtaking. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. My kids loved the pools. The room was clean and spacious, with housekeeping every day. Staff were friendly and helpful. 「The staff at the resort were super friendly. The pools and grounds were nice as well as the food. As far as the rooms in US terms I would classify it as a motel quality. We enjoyed the stay.」
