The pools were great, uncrowded with several options. The grounds were spectacular and well looked after. Front desk was helpful. If you do not have a car, it is not walkable to town or off property attractions, you must take an uber or taxi. Included breakfast was very good.

Daniella was outstanding. Answered all our questions and helped us choose an excellent activity, when we wanted something different than other activities we had arranged. The thermal pools were amazing. Restaurant breakfast and the 1 supper we had there was so tasty. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

The property is very pretty with a view of volcano from the pool. We enjoyed having multiple thermal pools on the property and especially loved having our own private thermal pool, which was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The location is also very convenient and close to everything in the area. Our overall experience was mixed. The food was fine but nothing memorable. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and they left us with snacks and a bottle of wine, which was a lovely welcome. We did encounter a significant issue with ants in the room, especially on the desk, nightstands and bathroom counter, to the point where we couldn’t put our things down. Not just a few ants - it was an infestation. There was a sign in the room saying ants were a part of staying in the rainforest, which made it seem like this was normal. We ended buying cleaning wipes and wiped down all the surfaces which seemed to get rid of most of the ants, but it gave us the impression that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. We didn’t encounter this issue at any other hotel on our trip, which made it stand out.

This is a large, beautiful resort area. The rooms are a bit dated, but the landscaping more than makes up for it. Three (or so) thermal pools along with the main one. Friendly staff.

Amazing property, the grounds are well kept, our room was spacious and spotless, the hot springs were amazing. There is a pool and a sauna on the property. The food was incredible - fresh, tasty, great options. Had a buffer breakfast every morning and truly enjoyed it. Had a few lunches and dinners and loved everything. Staff was very nice, everyone was friendly and helpful. The Uber to the town is fast and cheap if you’re not renting a car. Lots of parking if you have a vehicle. Great excursions, you can make arrangements on your own or ask the front desk to make arrangements for you. We found the area very safe. Highly recommend the resort to everyone visiting the area.

We loved our stay here. First and foremost, the front desk staff were the nicest and most helpful people I have ever encountered in my many years of travel. Everyone always had a smile on their face. Pool area was very nice, water beautiful. The springs were great. Get a room with your own, worth it! Great place to stay. Dinner at restaurant was good, but get out as there are so many better ones in la Fortuna. No gift shop but that’s a good thing. Manfrique made our stay so memorable. Outside gym is cool. Get the equipment as great quality.

The room was large and very comfortable for our group of four (two adults and two teenagers). We especially enjoyed the private thermal pool, which was an awesome addition. However, we did notice that some of the fixtures in the room are a bit dated, particularly the toilet. Updating these elements would significantly improve the overall experience. Thermal pools were nice and spacious

The rooms were basic and some bugs got in although we were careful, but the rooms were clean at least. The staff was wonderful. We enjoyed a New Year’s Eve dinner in the restaurant and had the free breakfast one day, it had a nice variety of options. The highlight was the hot springs area. It had a great vibe, very cool with lights and a swim up bar. The grounds were also gorgeous with the vegetation and we saw a few birds walking around too. I would stay again!

We loved this property. We were a family of 4. My kids are 11 and 13. They loved the thermal pool and the game room. We really enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. The breakfast was delicious - there was something for everyone. Parking was easy and the staff is super helpful and amazing. We had a great time here.

Breakfast has a great variation, gallo pinto is wonderful, plantains, Omelette, fresh cheese of the region, pancakes, fruit, meats, chilaquiles, bread, good coffee, juices, all in a buffet’s mode. Staff is really kind and always willing to suggest options. Restaurant is great with gourmet food options at reasonable prices, so you don’t have to go out for looking other options. Sights of the volcano was great from the hotel. There are rooms with private termal jacuzzi in the middle of your own garden!

The hot springs were nice. However the room could be improved. The safe was not working. The backyard door could not be closed. It only locked if you walk out. Location and setting were amazing though.

If you are just looking for a good thermal experience then this place is good but the rooms are very outdated for the price we pay. Staffs were not friendly at all. Did not feel like you are at a resort where the staffs are typically nice and friendly. I beleive we are getting charged for service fee which I dont think is necessary for rude staffs. Even the front desk staffs were rude. I would not stay at this place again got better resorts around this area for a similar price and better service.

Lots of ants in the room - to be expected in this location. The property was beautiful with lots of greenery, birds etc. The hot springs were great, as was the pool. The breakfast was nice and we enjoyed a couple of meals at the hotel but got tired of the food pretty quickly and had to venture out for different options
