Great waterfront views, restaurants, shopping. We didn't realize the return car ferry trip to Seattle was free. It's a short 35 minute ride each way. There is a hop on hop off trolley to take you around most of the island.

Friday Harbor seems to good to be true. It's clean and welcoming. Nice small town. Restaurants are not open late so keep that in mind for dinner. We came here to view the Orcas with the Western Prince whale tour best experience ever. Worth a visit.

The only negative thing about this trip was the Washington state ferry there. Even if you make a reservation, the numerous cancellations made waiting on either end 4 to 6 hours. Friday Harbor with good weather is just absolutely beautiful,

We loved the quaint atmosphere of a small town Claudia and Tyrone were so kind to give us a call t see if we wanted to check-in early. She gave a great tips on were to go and eat. I highly recommend taking the ferry to the island. Very nice people
