"The check-in process was extremely frustrating. It took nearly two hours to check in due to multiple long lines at the front desk. I understand that the hotel was experiencing computer issues, and I appreciate that technical problems can happen. What I don't understand is the purpose of the mobile app's check-in and digital key features. The app allows you to check in and request a room key, but upon arrival I was still required to wait in line and visit the front desk to present identification before receiving access to my room. If guests must still stand in line and complete the same process at the desk, then the mobile check-in and digital key features provide little to no benefit. The hotel should either streamline the process so mobile check-in actually bypasses the front desk, or clearly communicate that guests will still need to wait in line upon arrival. Overall, the lengthy wait and ineffective mobile check-in experience made for a very disappointing arrival."
