「Air conditioning was great and shower was always hot. It’s not your luxury hotel experience but for the location in town and the price it’s a phenomenal choice for a vacation on St Thomas. Rooms were spacious but bathrooms are tiny, limited towels, staff was not helpful, beds were very hard, rooms flooded from rain storm was told to put luggage on bed. Never tried to do anything about it. Front desk was VERY slow. Rooms were not ready at 4. They had muffins and water daily. NOT worth the price.」

My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! 」

The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! 「The best and worth part of staying here is the view aside from that breakfast was free it helped a lot with spending money on food also because the only way to eat is actually getting into a taxi and finding everything else since you are on the top of a mountain and there’s nothing near or around there unless you’re driving or taking a taxi which are per person and becomes very expensive after a few rides a day. Did wish the breakfast was more flexible as you only have 2 options to choose from...
