When we arrived we they didn’t have the rooms reserved and paid for and could only give us one room class reserved and a downgraded room. The beach was covered in sargassum and a lot was in disrepair. Our bedroom door wouldn’t close, the food was very average and the property itself was mostly on the side of a hill which made it a nonstarter for anybody who has trouble with stairs. I give it a B-

This is a timeshare place. Didn’t realize when I booked. But the staff didn’t pressure and everyone was chilll. Some of the bar staff weren’t fit to serve. Some of the drinks were aweful. And then they tell you it’s a matter of opinion. Bars were understaffed and bartenders would prioritize some over others. But overall, a solid 3 borderline 4 out of 5. Won’t be back but would recommend if you need a last minute trip

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas and had a mixed experience overall. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff stood out in a positive way—everyone I encountered during check-in and at the restaurant was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. That said, there were a few drawbacks. There aren’t many activities for kids, so it may not be the best option for families looking for a lot of on-site entertainment. The beach area is also not really suitable for swimming, which was a bit disappointing. That being said the view is beautiful and the sound of nature is amazing. The food was decent and the drinks were okay, but everything felt a bit overpriced for what you get. Another inconvenience was the layout of the resort—depending on where your room is, it can be quite a long walk, and the golf carts that provide rides are often busy or take time to arrive. Additionally, transportation off the property can be a hassle. Cabs are fairly expensive and can take a while to show up, so planning ahead is important. Overall, it’s a clean and friendly place to stay, but there are a few logistical and value-related issues to keep in mind before booking.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Right on the beach and ghe hilltop pool was fantastic. My only complaint would be the food at the restaurant. Ordered avocado toast and what I received was store bought guacamole and it was horrible. You’re on an island with beautiful avocados everywhere and you serve store bought guacamole?!! And the worst part of all, there was no land shark beer. How is it possible to be at the margaritaville resort and there’s no land shark. And the staff thought it was no longer made. Other than that, the resort was great.

We came to Margaritaville to relax, see St. Thomas, eat good food, drink island cocktails, listen to good music, and experience local flavor. Margaritaville let us do all that and more. The room was clean and well appointed. We were near the upper pool, which is a big plus if you like a swim up bar and a two for one happy hour. We loved the golf cart shuttles on the property and it was great to have a taxi near the front lobby every time we needed one. The food in the restaurant was better than we expected. Breakfast was especially good. Shoutout to Chris for being a great server. The bar at the main pool was a lot of fun and had plenty of seating. We didn't get in the ocean at the property because Coki Beach is literally less than 10 minutes walk away and is much more fun and lively. The only misstep we experienced was not knowing the vacation club rooms don't come with housekeeping. A week is a long time to have sandy sheets! Speaking of steps, there were 150 steps up the hill from the restaurant to our room. I counted. So you will definitely be taking advantage of the golf cart shuttles a lot. Overall, the resort is a solid choice, close to lots of beaches and to St. John's ferry, plus many great restaurants and bars. Bring lots of cash for taxis, or rent a car and take your life in your hands! Either way, you'll enjoy Margaritaville, and it might make you a little nostalgic for one particular harbor.

The hotel is very pretty. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The beach was not great, but we took a shuttle to Coqui beach that was awesome. The food at the ONE restaurant was great. The room was ok. We did not have hot water for 2/3 nights and we got a nice voucher for our troubles. I regret not having an extra day to relax at the pool at the very top. We also got locked out of our rooms after selecting a late check out. The hotel does not have any night life. It was a nice stay for a few days.

Margaritaville is located in a great spot right next to Coki Beach, which just one of the best snorkeling areas on the island. I loved the property and our room was nice. There pools were great. The seaweed did not bother us at all. I was disappointed to learn that there was no hot tub anymore and I was expecting very warm weather our entire trip, but there were cooler days that would have been a great time for a hot tub. The worst part about our stay was that the staff specifically at the restaurant and one of the bartenders were very unfriendly and acted like it was a nuisance when we asked for anything. They would talk back, roll their eyes, and had lore with ethic. This wasn’t just at the Margaritaville, but we noticed this throughout the island that the customer service was very subpar. The people who worked at the guest services and tourist excursions at the Margaritaville were amazing, however! Over all that we had an amazing vacation and a memorable time with our family!

This is a wonderful resort to stay at. The room was very clean, love the privacy and beautiful grounds. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant had delicious food. Literally the only issue we had was that our TV don’t work in our room, but didn’t complain as we didn’t need it much anyway. Great place to stay.

It's ok. Convenient location, nice sized rooms. Be able to walk and climb many stairs to get to your room. Only 1 good option that is meh, staff is unresponsive, slow, and will just lie to make you go away and not deal with you on anything - even trivial things like getting a cab in the morning.

The room we were given had been heavily smoked in, at least in the past. All of our clothes smell, as do our bags and everything else. This was very hard to get past, and really reflected on our overall review of the resort. The restaurant was ok, expensive for what you get. We took the quick 10 minute walk to Louie's Market to pick up some snacks and supplies, along with some really good good from the attached deli. This was far more cost effective than eating every meal at the hotel resturant. We also had a meal at Sun & Sea Bar & Grill, which is a quick 5 minute walk down the beach from the resort. While it had somewhat of a dive appearance, the tables are right on the water and the food and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend visiting this place for at least one meal. The two pools were nice and the kids enjoyed swimming. There were lots of loungers, plenty free most of the time. There were some things that definitely felt like deferred maintenance, especially related to the storm clean-up. But overall the resort itself was very nice and gave us plenty of things to do for the few days that we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering golf cart rides to our room up the hill, and helping to handle our baggage. We enjoyed our stay, except for the horrible smell in the room.

The property, facilities and amenities were readily available. The gym appeared worn and the image on the website was not an accurate representation. Some of the staff was cordial and welcoming and yet some others were indifferent when it came to providing assistance or sharing information. When we arrived were asked to attend a timeshare information session which proved to be a bad experience.

The property was amazing an all of the staff at the hotel were great! The only issue was the lady that was running the coffee shop was not at all user friendly. We found out that the coffee shop and the restaurant are run separately from the hotel. The property was SUPER nice and clean.
