Our room was unexpectedly warm for the time of year, despite radiators being turned-down but there was already a good fan in the room to counter this. We had no issues with noise despite being above the pub. 」

「Unfortunately, the check-in at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve experienced. Firstly, they do not accept American Express, which was inconvenient and not clearly stated in advance. The receptionist then struggled to process my alternative card, insisting it didn’t work. I politely asked her to try again and of course, the card worked perfectly the third time, confirming it was a user error on her part. What made the situation worse was her lack of apology or acknowledgment of the mistake....

「This was my first time staying at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park but it certainly won't be my last. Lovely hotel, excellent gym / pool / spa facilities, plentiful parking, lovely food and drinks, lovely staff, lovely room with a huge window for lots of natural light. Highly recommended.」
