"We spent our honeymoon here and were very happy with the experience. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Drinks were tasty and strong, and they also gave us complimentary liquor in the room. When they learned it was our honeymoon they added a complimentary breakfast in bed and romantic dinner experience. The pool was beautiful with a swim up bar. Food ranges from good to excellent depending on the restaurant and dish. I especially liked the Porterhouse steak at the Grill. We also took a day excursion to Saona Island and the natural swimming pool which were beautiful to experience in person.
My only criticisms with the experience:
- dinner service could be slow at some popular restaurants. Over an hour between ordering and receiving our entrees. We were not in a rush so it was not the end of the world, but definitely saw some people getting up and leaving when they couldn’t stand to wait during to hunger.
- the beach had rough waves and a lot of sargassum. So we spent our time poolside rather than on the beach. The excursion to Saona Island was enough to satisfy our beach experience though - calm, beautiful blue waters and white sand just like the pictures."
