Great all-inclusive hotel with super nice staff, right by the beach with kayaking options etc. Only negative is that most of the activities such as horse riding, beach boogie, zip liner etc are about 1.5-2h drive away, but if you are just looking to relax and still have several activities at the hotel, this is a great option.

From the very fist stepbwe took in here it was a mess they didn’t have any room ready we we at check in nearly 4 hours then we get a room with a sofa bed and a twin they put in the drawer almost fell out on my foot it was broken the safe did not work the doors did not open with our room keys they had to open them self’s the staff that IS mediocre service every single thing was wrong the bathroom was leaking as your on the Rollie water dripping from the Ceiling the air conditioner every single day we had to call they call they it was off the fridge was non existent the crack in the ceiling were endless wow this place is awful the worst do not if you want to vacation is not here I need a vacation from this the stress level is on 10000 then at1 am the came to change pieces from the air conditioner I have the proof the bath tubs are slimy they do not clean the shower are just disgusting they have insects in the room we were greeted by a school bus roach

My son got sick from a food infection and we were in an emergency. The sea is dirty, the beach is clean. The pools were closed for 2 days. The electricity stopped several times a day. The hotel program also had good evenings. There was a lot of variety in the food. In the themed Italian restaurant, the pizzas were raw. The room cards were blocked every day and you have to go to the reception to have them released again and there were almost always many people waiting there. Rooms were dated, but clean. I overheard another guest at the front desk complaining about cockroaches that were continually in her room, so I was grateful not to see bugs. Shower had no water pressure, but the AC worked great! Our room location was great, but if you were further into the resort, it was quite a walk to and from the main lobby area and pool. Beach was well maintained by hotel staff, but no waves at all. The water was murky, but jellyfish free at least. There were kayaks and schooners available to use and banana boat rides for an extra fee. The pool was very nice and large to have space. You had to get up by 7:30 lates to get any chairs by the pool. There were a handful of staff walking around to collect empty cups. I was very disappointed there was no wait staff by the pool. Drinks are very small so getting refills was annoying. As for bartenders, a handful were great, but many did not care to wait on anyone other than Spanish speaking guests. Bartenders would be happy and upbeat speaking to Spanish speaking guest, then turn to me with sour, unhappy and annoyed looks. I mostly felt as though I was annoying many of them which was not pleasant on my vacation. Food was not great at all. The indoor buffet was edible, but it would close from 10-1 and 3-5 which only left the beach buffet which was TERRIBLE. It was like they reserved any leftover food from the day before and put it out. So basically, there was nothing to eat during those times.

Everything was perfect! The animation team did a great job. I would like to dedicate a special mention to “Caramelo”. He was super professional and dedicated. We didn’t like to see one of his supervisors calling him in a bad way at the volley game. He deserves much better! I hope it doesn’t happen again! We didn’t enjoy that the air conditioner was broken at the Italian Restaurant, but Ray and Ramon were super nice and they did their best to make us feel great. We will definitely come back and we will recommend Bahia Principe Grand La Romana to our family and friends!! Thank You!
