Had a mixed experience at this resort. The grounds, cleanliness, coffee, and buffet were excellent, and our preferred upgrade in Building 7 was a great surprise. The Preferred pool is beautiful, but service was inconsistent, towels were often hard to find, and staff spent more time checking room numbers than actually serving guests. They are extremely strict about the 18+ rule—even for guests just a day away from turning 18—which felt overly rigid. Activities especially for teens—were disappointing. Pools close at 6pm, and evenings offered little beyond dinner and shows. Daytime options like volleyball and lawn games were limited and inconsistent, and the Core Zone was not as advertised or clearly active. The water slides were fun and helped fill the gap. Service was uneven overall; we often had to track down drinks, particularly early in the week. The resort initiated a midweek guest survey where I shared feedback, but our identity didn’t feel protected—afterward, staff approached us frequently and referenced it, which was uncomfortable. A bright spot was Simon at the Preferred beach bar, who provided friendly, attentive service. We also loved our butler, Breilin, who went above and beyond decorating the room for my son’s birthday and securing hibachi dinner reservations, making the celebration special. We still had a nice time overall, and the birthday celebration was truly memorable. we’re just unsure if we would return. The resort could be incredible with a few tweaks.

All the staff were so kind and polite (except the taco truck lady). The pools and shows were magnificent. Love the daily activities and food.

Beautiful beach!!! The waves were so fun to play in.

Brown teaching our 11-year-old to dive. Awesome staff cheering him on from the sidelines.

Ping pong and chess outside was a nice break from swimming.

This was my bday trip. I loved my stay at the hotel. The staff is incredible.(Franklin from the grill bar at Breathless was so nice, the boys from the pool at Onyx were so nice, the staff at the carnival buffet, and the rest of the restaurants, were awesome.) I would come back to this resort.

From the moment my family and I arrived and entered the property, we knew this was not for us. We were not properly greeted or provided champagne like other guests. Instead, we were harassed by the men in blue shirts to attend a timeshare presentation. Thank you to the other reviewers that mentioned this so I knew to avoid it. The biggest issue here is the customer service. The staff ignores black/brown guests. You can clearly see them skip certain people and cater to others. My 8 year old noticed it on day 1 as a child. The entertainment staff does the same thing. The interaction with different guests is so obvious. I did read another recent review about this and thought maybe it was a one off situation but that’s the culture of this place. The food was good for an all inclusive and the lazy river was fun. However, I would not recommend and will never return to this place.

Definitely not an exceptional property as the ratings state. Food selections OK but definitely not up to the standard of other hotels. I’ve stayed in Punta Cana area. We upgraded our room and access to services. Housekeeping was not exceptional. Our concierge made dinner reservations, but did not resolve any of the problems that we are having with our rooms. Our friends travelling with us had the same experience. The beach is lovely beach and pool service is only good if you’re having alcohol, but even then… We mostly did self service. I would rate a 6 1/2 out of 10 compared to other hotels we have enjoyed.

Adult only pool was good but that was the only highlight of upgrading to the preferred club. The drink service seemed to be skewed towards larger groups and not individuals. It was hard to get a drink even on the quiet times. There was practically zero drink service at the beach and you were lucky if you could get preferred club towels. The room was an issue. The shower leaked into the room in two different places for two nights until they finally fixed it properly. The room also smelled like mold. They did not want to move me even though I inquired and said that I needed to take an antihistamine, I am allergic to mold. This was supposed to be a room upgrade that I had paid extra for and they offered me nothing. A refund of some sort would have been nice. The drawers for clothes were also dirty and I had to clean them out in order to feel ok about putting my clothes in there. The staff were friendly and a lot of the staff at the restaurants were excellent. The buffet was always running out of stuff and you needed to find someone to get it refilled (we are talking guacamole and ham for the omelette station) and there was hardly ever pineapple. The restaurants were decent. For the price I paid and taking into consideration other all inclusive resorts of the same price, it wasn’t worth it, I was expecting more.

The resort itself was great - food, room, pool, beach, waterpark, Explorer Club were all amazing and the resort was vey clean. The staff at the front desk were a nightmare while checking in. They were not helpful at all, and after over two hours tried to put my family of five in a King bed despite showing proof of booking a family suite. The issues did eventually get resolved but it was a terrible first impression.

An excellent place to relax and have a great time—whether with family, a partner, or friends. The food was excellent; all the restaurants were very good—especially if you book through the Preferred Club. My concierge, Albert, was always attentive and responded to everything very quickly. Additionally, Angely from the Preferred Club was excellent at making drinks and was great to talk to. Gabriel, from the beach snack area, was also fantastic. Overall, the service was excellent. I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

The facility is great but there were a number of staff issues primarily with the reception desk. On our last day we finally met Rosely who was fantastic and helpful. The rest of the reception staff were difficult to deal with and lacked patience.

Property was very nice. We were very happy with our room, the amenities, and staff. Unfortunately, every interaction with the front desk staff was just okay.
