「Beautiful place right on the canal excellent food very nice stay.」

「Internet service worked OK. Our room was in a rear block on up a flight of stairs with no lift. There are "garden rooms" on the ground floor with french doors open to the garden with small patio areas. Request one of these to avoid stairs. Room had Nespresso coffee maker but no fridge for fresh milk, only those tacky plastic milk pods which was out of character with the stylish quality of the rest of the hotel. Restaurant quality of food is outstanding.」

「We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst attending a family function and by chance cane across The George and Dragon. We are so glad we did! What a beautiful pub with bundles of character. Our room was gorgeous; modern yet rustic and equipped with everything to make our stay spot on! Staff were lovely and attentive, and breakfast was amazing. 「The room is comfortable and perfect for one person. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located near the train station. However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.」

「Had a very nice stay at the highworth , would definately come back , the wifi wasn’t working or was just a bad signal , bought it to the attention of the staff and was told that too I was in has issues with signal strength from router , apart from the wifi issue everything else was very nice 」

「There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. 」
