"We had a rotten moldy avocado in the bottom dresser drawer. I killed 2 roaches walking on the floor by the mini fridge. We had a room for 4, but only two towels and a half roll of toilet paper. Looking back I’m not so sure our room was ever cleaned between customers. After sleeping in the beds it kind of smelled sour or something. It was a terrible experience. That’s why they don’t offer refunds! The lady at the front desk was nice that’s the only positive."

"The rooms are very spacious. However, I highly recommend requesting a room that does not face the highway, otherwise you will hear vehicles all night. We requested a different room the next day, and were moved to a much better room on the other side. Be aware that the breakfast buffet closes early at 9am. We had been accustomed to breakfast buffets that were available to 10am, or even 9:30am at the earliest. Our mistake, and unfortunately we missed the buffet both nights."

"I’ve never stayed in a hotel so dirty the first room we got the bathroom smelled like urine. There was urine all over the toilet. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room. It was somewhat clean. The room still smelled like urine. I was highly disappointed after the reviews that were received from this place. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was OK."

"The building is just magnificent with a really historical vibe. Beautiful in every way really. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However there were a couple of things......our room had no facility for making tea or coffee or hot water. Didn't think to check on booking as I assumed this was kind of standard. Also the glasses in our bathroom were not clean. The breakfast was very strange. I ordered orange juice and tea but you can only choose one of those. My croissant (miniature) came on a plate with a paper doily and was warm, which was nice, but the butter had also been microwaved which meant it was liquid. The same applied to my daughters cooked breakfast. So if we ever went again, I would eat out."
