「Facility was alright. Probably won’t be back」

「This is a very old mom and pop motel that has been updated. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. Laminate flooring...no nasty carpet. The bathroom/shower is very clean but very outdated but functional. Big Bear Lodge is a motel, central to several parks, shopping and restaurants. If you want a room with coffee, fridge,microwave and air conditioning, central to parks and restaurants this would be a good motel for your next stay.」

「Room was small but adequate. Bathroom very small, shower extremely small, no place to set things except on window sill. Beds very comfortable. Check in was virtual, would have been nice to meet owners. Property was beautiful as well as clubhouse. Parking lot could use some painted lines, but we were one of three guests there at the time. Id stay again if i could get a lake view room with 2 beds.」

「This would be a 5-star review if the property had WIFI and AC. In this day and age, those should be standard amenities. As far as the lack of AC goes, we were very lucky; the temps were only in the low 80s during the day, and thankfully fell to the 60's at night. Had we stayed a week earlier, I don't think we would have been able to bear it. The property itself is quite nice. Very clean and tidy. The proximity to all kinds of walkable locations is very handy. It seemed weird at first to not be watching TV (We eventually broke down and used our phone as a hotspot to watch something), but we realized we enjoyed reading our books and chilling out when we were there. Lots of places to go. Natural landmarks, wineries, restaurants, historical attractions. The house was super clean. It's a brand new build so everything was in great shape. 「There was ton of space and lot of stuff to do. The host had a lot of items that most places don’t have so that was great. Wish there was a place to sit and eat that would hold more than 6 people. Even outside there was only a table for 4. So you could not sit together as a group of ten or more.」
