If you're in the area, hope off a tour bus from Amsterdam, walk a couple blocks down 112th and you can get a great meal at a decent price at Tom's Restaurant, which was Monk's in Seinfeld. It's not "in the city" like on the show, the area is mainly residential, nice and quaint. Then you can walk around the University campus. There's also a beautiful historic gothic style cathedral church on Amsterdam at 112th worth checking out.
