「The first room we checked into was spacious and very clean — we were impressed. However, the toilet kept making loud refill noises every few minutes. I reported it, and we waited over 20 minutes while someone tried to fix it, but it wasn’t resolved. It was already almost 11pm, and our kids were tired and still hadn’t showered, so we asked to switch rooms. The second room had more issues — the toilet wouldn’t flush and the bedside lamp didn’t work. I asked to change again, but the front desk...

「We loved that this is an independent hotel and small business. The owner is a local and cares about Montclair. The interior is decorated brilliantly and has a clever motif. For example, the rooms don't have numbers, they have names. Inside each room you will find photos of famous people with that name. It's a fun game to guess who each of these people are and some of them may surprise you. Breakfast was included and some of the offerings came from local businesses. Parking was ample, which is a...

「We stay here regularly and really love this hotel. It is especially nice to be remembered on our return. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. With Crystal at breakfast and at the bar it was like meeting an old friend. And Ingrid at breakfast and Nayeli on the front desk were also great. The newly-refurbished bedrooms were extremely stylish. And the restaurant had no problem with my dietary requirements. Easy access to New York. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.」
