"It was an okay place. Staff was friendly and it was basically clean. Issues were: the elevator was out of order the 3 days we were there and the side entry door which was suppose to be locked with room card access was never locked which is a security issue for me."
"Checked into this hotel and when proceeding up the stairs to the second floor, the smell of urine was terrible. We still checked out the room, which was in good condition but could still smell the odor from the hall. My wife stated that she couldn't stay there because of the smell. We left the room and went down the other stairs toward the back of the hotel and the smell of urine in that stairway was even worse. I let the gentleman at the front desk know that we weren't staying there and we left. This being Friday night on Memorial weekend, I didn't even try to find another motel and drove another five hours home. Won't book this hotel again."
"The refrigerator did not work in our room and I have a type 1 diabete with insulin . . The lady at the desk was helpful and put it in the fridge downstairs with our name on it.
Then our bathroom dripped all night and our air didn’t work. When I came down to get the insulin in the morning the man at the desk said yes she left me a note about that and got me my sons things but when I told him about the air and tub he didn’t care nor did he seem to want to listen.
I was not very happy …
Also the hot tub was not in working order which was part of the reason I book this one."
"The room condition was horrible. The room smelled really bad. There were several old used towels piled up in bathtub when we first got to room. The vanity cabinet had something spilled all over them. No soap at sink. Had to use soap from dispenser in shower. The balcony off our room had bird droppings all over balcony and seats. It was not usable. Bathroom faucet was pulled away from wall. I had to hold it in to pull stopper up for a shower.
The cleanliness of room was not worth the rate we were charged. If you like clean rooms and conditions, do not stay here."
"The sweet little cabin had everything we could have asked for! The large back porch was definitely our favorite! We ate our dinners out there, sat and watched the silly squirrels chase each other, and were under cover when it was raining. All that and the peaceful babbling brook added to our stay.
We also liked the location. We did some hiking as well as a tour all within a short drive.
We don't know when we will make it back to that area. However, if we get the opportunity, we will definitely stay there again if the cabin is available!"
Holiday Inn Express Lexington East - Winchester by IHG
8/10 Good
"Room was clean, comfortable and in working order. Has plenty of outlets with usb throughout, and bedside. Good lighting. Well lit parking. Lobby functional with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is basic with hot and cold foods, plenty to choose from. It was fresh and well stocked still three hours after it opened on a holiday. Would stay again. "
"I had reserved a suite, the room was very dirty, missing hair dryer, dirty floor, stains on walls etc.. I asked if we could change rooms and they did allow us to do so. The second room was equally as dirty but in different ways. Stained bedding, looks like it was used, dirty sink, dirty floor with little things all over it. My family couldn’t stay there, we had to leave. Hoping Expedia will help me get my money back. I travel regularly and this is the first time I’ve ever left a hotel without staying. The front desk staff was very nice."
