"Wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, good location within a couple of blocks of 2 metro stations. Room was clean, staff very attentive. Breakfast was good, usual fare fruits, breads,cereal , yogurts, waffle machine, coffee and juices . Room had a small kitchen with a fridge ,microwave, coffee maker, good if you are staying for a while and would like to purchase and store some groceries. Room was clean but could have used a little TLC, Building has 2 elevators which were a little slow. It was a good area close to University, had restaurants in the area, small market couple of blocks down. Would stay there again. "

"Every day same stuff , only ham slices, same cheese slices, orange juice watered down ,canned fruit, very very basic continental breakfast , valet parking a joke ,takes 30 minutes to collect the car,the rate on line was C$ 38 but charged C$40:, no elevator ,old old building small rooms,bathroom, thin walls ,noisy neighbors, old old smelly carpets, only plus 15 minutes walk to touristic area and art museum, directly located at very noisy even at night Sherbrooke Avenue, stay away from this outdated junk yard, survived 4 days at our anniversary ,contacted the hotel prior to arrival to see if they would give a decent quiet room, no answer given, with more than 40 hotel nights per year this is the first review where we give an honest opinion of such unfortunate stay g .mohr"

"The first night of our stay our room temperature was quite warm (hovering around 26), but we were too tired to deal with it. The second day it reached 28C which was uncomfortably hot. We called the front desk for the first time around 1pm and asked for someone to come check our thermostat - nobody came. We called a second time around 3:00 and requested the same - again waiting so we could accommodate maintenance - nobody came. It ultimately ended up being a waste of our entire afternoon and resulted in no solution or communication whatsoever. As we were leaving for dinner around 7:30 we noticed a memo was newly taped near the elevator door stating that the “unexpected warm weather meant warmer rooms as the buildings central air would only allow either heat or air conditioning and guests were ‘invited’ to turn off their thermostats”. This was incredibly frustrating, I understand some things are out of staff control (ie. the weather) - but a simple call to the room to let us know they wouldn’t be coming and to explain the situation would have been much appreciated, rather than us finding out hours later by way of an impersonal notice. Around midnight of that evening we called a third time to ask if someone could unlock the window at the very least - which they did, and that finally made some difference. But it had put a damper on our stay by that point."
