OUTRIGGER Waikiki Paradise Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Right in the middle of Waikīkī, 5 min walk to the beach,shops, and restaurants. Loved it would book again. Only thing is parking is 50$ a night so we did street parking. We would leave early in the morning and return by 6 the latest to find parking. Furthest I found was a mile walk while most days was a 5 min walk."

"It is a beautiful, very large resort with many amenities including the nice beach and several pools. There are lots of people but spread over the expansive public areas. The beach was packed on the 4th of July. Service was good but it sometimes took a while with all the people. Restaurants are fine but with Waikiki prices, of course. We stayed in a very nice room in the Rainbow Tower where the elevators can get backed up for a long time, especially before check out time. Overall we had a wonderful time."

"Nice view and next to the beach as well as to a lot of stores and outdoor malls. My only complaint are the “hidden” extra fees or costs of things that we thought would be included or priced at a certain rate. Example: I thought breakfast would be $40 per person as mentioned on Expedia, but after visiting the breakfast options (Longboard Club and Swell) Longboard Club was $175 per day (via there Longboard Member Card) for their buffet options to include breakfast and dinner where as Swell Restaurant is à la carte for meals that are $20+. I assumed I could pay $40 for breakfast for me and my wife at least at one of these options, but it was not true. Expedia got some things right, but it would be good to also verify some things on the hotel website directly to plan better. Resort fee also added up quickly, but covered a lot of indoor hotel activities like classes or workouts. Unfortunately we were unable to partake in these. Random note: our room did not have a microwave for the food that we saved, but staff were able to quickly provide one to our satisfaction. Just make sure that the view you want is in the gallery of the stay booked. Ours said Oceanview and had a partial view which is what we ended up with. Wifey was unhappy with the partial view. Other than that, all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Also valet parking was smooth and easy for entering/exiting privilege’s. I would give this place a 7.5/10 (because of the unexpected additional costs)."

"This place is in a great location. The staff are friendly and the beds comfortable. Tge roons are basic, but have everything you need. Who comes to Hawai'i to sit in their room anyway. The free coffee in the lobby is a nice extra as is the free laundry facilities. Given the price, I can't really fault the place!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Waikiki! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One of the best perks was the complimentary breakfast every morning, which made starting our day easy and convenient. We also really appreciated that the hotel provided beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs at no extra cost. Those little extras saved us money and made our beach days so much more enjoyable. The hotel is located toward the end of the Waikiki strip, which we actually liked because it was a little quieter while still being within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the beach. Overall, it was a great value, and we'd definitely stay here again!"
