「Hotel Houze — Downtown Detroit, Michigan Not Recommended When I first arrived, I was assigned to Room 04, which had not been cleaned. I was moved to another room, but the issues didn’t stop there. 「The mattress was softer than it should be. When I checked in the staff was a bit surly. They put me in a room on the third floor with no elevator and I’m 65. I emailed in advance where I could get breakfast in the area and their recommendation made no sense and a Google search didn’t turn anything up. It’s a weird place and I don’t plan to return. 」

「Overall, it was a good stay. The hotel is in a great location and the room was clean. Check-in staff was very nice. Just a couple of things to note: We asked for additional pillows and they said they didn't have any more. Also, put breakfast away an hour early one day so we weren't able to grab any. Maybe they were understaffed that weekend.」

「The Hotel is an older hotel but it is in great condition. We found it to be charming, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, i have no complaints. I would stay here again. My only complaint was the lighting in the halls was dark.」
