「Obvious it’s a place that caters for wedding parties at the weekend and at this time of year no one else. Rooms are a little tired, radiator in bedroom didn’t work at any point. Lack of hooks/chest of drawers in room very frustrating especially when the wardrobe is full of spare pillows/duvets/fans/trouser press/ironing board and iron. Good amenities but no storage space. Hooks in room and bathroom would be great addition. Breakfast not worth £18 each」

「Lovely hotel. Very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent!!!! Would definitely go back」

「Lovely room. Nice breakfast.」

「Food excellent and good value, room nice, clean, they left fresh milk in the room. All staff really friendly and helpful. would go again.」

「Leigh Anne and Harriet loved our stay at Windylands. Our host Richard was wonderful and we loved talking to him. Our breakfast was delicious. What a wonderful stay!!」

「Room not aging well. Stained carpet. Bed linen clean. Towels clean. Shower ok.」

「Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.」

「lovely old character property in beautiful location, friendly hosts, very accommodating and welcoming, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, great Indian meals available at very local pub, perfect!! 」

「The chairs are filthy, the handle was hanging off the bathroom door which was the size of a small broom cupboard and the walls don't reach the ceiling. It's a small bedsit which you get to up a fire escape. No idea how it gets such good reviews. Also the radiator didn't work and the WiFi gave up part way through our stay and the TV stopped working. Sometimes we could here what next door guests were saying word for word! Only positives were the nice water and juice and Bed was ok. Pretty grim...

「My husband stayed at Deangate Motel due to working locally. The motel was clean staff helpful in that they let him keep the same room when he extended his stay due to not finishing his work on time. The room he was in he could see his work van clearly and the carpark was super safe as it joined the police station carpark so gave him peace of mind .will stay again as a couple so we can explore the area locally which is walking distance to Lydney. Beautiful countryside for walking.」

「Good value for money. Room was spacious and clean and staff were friendly and helpful.」

「Wonderful accommodations in a most beautiful part of our world. The building is very old and this is not perfect. For us it was perfect. An excellent breakfast each morning and dinner and pints in the evening. Plenty to see nearby. We look forward to visiting again.」
