「What a gem this hotel was. It was a bit of a lucky find but glad we found it. Rooms were modern but had a rustic vibe. Room was also very spacious with a lot of room to move about. Very nice porch as well with a lovely babbling brook right outside the door. The only drawback was the 2 skylights that let in dawns light at 6am every morning, hence the 3 stars on comfort. We got used to it but it would be nice to have something set up to shade the light. We also liked easy access to extra towels...

「I really liked the retro 50's look and decor of an old style motel motor court. It reminded me of staying in similar motels as a child in the late 50's early 60's. I will definitely stay here again.」

We love the historic look of the Balsam mountain Inn, we learned that it changed ownership a few years back and the new owners are looking to preserve the classic look that appeals to everyone so much. 「The hotel was feel clean. The room was spacious. The only problem I had is every time I went to the front desk I had keep wait for someone to come back. I am assuming they may be a little short staffed. Almost forgot, the ice machine and vending machine are on the 3rd floor. 」
