「The staff at Hotel Colores were exceptional. This is a family owned operation and you can tell they care about the people staying there. From the check-in to the breakfast and even helping us find the sloth family that were visiting the property during our stay. I have to say this place is a hidden gem. 「We flew in to San Jose around 12pm. We headed out of town towards La Fortuna. I thought this would get us out of the city and close to our first day of activities. The area was quiet. The room was very clean. We speak very little Spanish and the staff spoke very little English. However we were able to communicate to get what we needed. The hotel is one block from the Main Street. We found the supermarket with ease. The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit with a large breakfast of beans...

「The staff made this place extra nice. I asked to borrow their microwave on some leftovers and she even plated it nicely and gave us silverware to use. Breakfast is pretty good. I wished there was a screen on the patio door or window so I can leave it open for extra ventilation without letting bugs in. The room can get humid too. The bathroom is a nice size, but for some reason water easily splashes out of the shower and gets the floor outside of it wet.」

「The hotel was nice and clean the restaurant was delicious and had a good breakfast. The pools were clean and well maintained. We stayed in a basic room my suggestion would be for them to add towel racks or hooks to hang up towels in the bathroom once you are done using them.」
