"The property consists of two rental units but this fact is not obvious from the pictures on the website. We did not get the rooftop deck with a view of the harbor. That belongs to the other unit. The sewer pipes are enclosed in the paper-thin walls of the first floor bedroom of our unit so every time someone flushes the toilet, uses the sink, takes a shower, you can hear water flowing through the pipes followed by loud clanging sound. Howard Johnson by Wyndham Middletown Newport Area

10/10 Excellent

"Very comfortable rooms with excellent daily housekeeping. Would stay here again."

The Carriage House Inn Newport

8/10 Good

"This was a nice stay and conveniently located. Breakfast was mostly snacks but they had good coffee and service. Bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were outdated- noisy fan, no walk-in shower as it was an old Victorian house. My room was located just off the lobby so could hear people in the early morning hours. It would have been helpful if staff have posted signs about QUIET hours. I was awoken a couple of times by people talking in the lobby and hallways. It may be helpful to know which room you are assigned and how close it is to the lobby."
