「We loved the Ocean room, which was spacious and had a large bathroom and a little, well appointed, kitchenette. It was very comfortable and clean. Everyone we met was lovely. They are dog friendly and that worked well for us! Breakfast was not lavish or hot, but adequate- yogurt, pastries , fruit and coffee. My one quibble- the Inn is in a residential area about a 20-25 minute walk from any restaurants or shopping. So you had to drive, uber or plan to walk for 45 min (rt) if going to dinner or...

「My wife and I really enjoyed spending July 4th weekend at Gilded. Terrific boutique hotel in the heart of Newport, about a 10 minute walk to the main area of Thames Street and the Wharf. In the other direction, you can walk to the mansions in about 15-20 minutes too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was super easy. Breakfast was also very nice each morning. We will definitely book again the next time we go to Newport.」

「Our room was solid and looked like some recent upgrades. Paint, new carpet. The deck was tired. Also, we were promised a great view. It was worse than last year. The view from the room was non-existent and on the deck, you were looking straight at the railing when sitting down. Last year we had bar height table and chairs on the deck so you could see over the railing with much better view.」
