「Good experience of staying」

「In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though.」

「Convenient, near to the city centre and the bus terminal. Not good choice for family, especially about the bathroom setup. The shower is fixed on the wall, while the sink is too high for kid」

「The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.」

Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, though there's an expectation that you already know things and the anticipation that you are going to ask things that are wildly off target. However, we really didn't like the Pub and Grill - small, crowded and very noisy - the football being shown on every vertical surface was embellished with loud and annoying music. We decided to eat in our room - which had its own contribution to add. The only way to order was via an app - which didn't work. As there are no phones in the rooms ( and no phone number provided to reach reception), I had to stand in the hallway to use one of the few...
