The lights are visible for an 11 mile radius. A misconception is that these lights emanate from the two reflecting pools in ground zero. (I was guilty of this as well) but they are actually located at the top of the battery Park garage in lower Manhattan. Once again let’s never forget the thousands who lost their lives also the greater number of family and friends that they left behind.
