Central San Diego 2 Stars Hotels

Beautiful updated oceanfront patio with lounges, chairs and umbrellas that overlook the beach 🏖️. Watching the waves and families enjoying the surf while sipping a cold drink ( available onsite). This hotel is literally on the sand‼️ You can’t stay closer to the beach than the Del Mar Hotel. There are 2 outstanding restaurants right next door. No need to drive anywhere, just relax and enjoy.

Crown City Inn was a great place to stay during our visit to Coronado. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow chairs and body boards to play in the ocean, and later we borrowed a couple bikes to ride around town on. And breakfast at the Bistro was very good!

I loved that our rooms were cleaned daily, beds made, bathrooms spotless, and we got fresh towels daily. The room was spacious, clean, and efficient.

Loved the shuttle service to Old Town. We’ve stayed there before and didn’t have that option. It was so convenient to have the shuttle service. Driver was super friendly.

great stay!!

MK was very nice in helping my family and I have a smooth check in on July 27th.

Clean, quiet, good for family

Easy walk to my kids house. I've stayed here 3 time's already since June going back in July if not sooner.

We stayed 11 days and had an excellent time! Grandkids loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great

Service

Parking sucks but I knew that from the ratings I read. Room was very clean and I felt comfortable. Bed was AMAZING. (Room 9). Probably the best bed I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel! Little small but perfect just for me. Close to Mission Valley or Hillcrest for restaurants. I will definitely visit again.

This hotel nails the basics: its central location is spot-on for exploring San Diego, rooms are updated (love the fun wallpaper and bathroom tiling), and they've got secure parking if you're driving (worth purchasing since parking is difficult in the busy area). It's no-frills, but perfect if you're looking for a comfortable, central place to stay. Definitely recommend!

Great stay.

Older hotel that shows her age with slow draining sinks for both our rooms, minuscule underground parking spots, older carpets and a tiny lobby. However, the property is maintained by a very friendly and helpful staff who are constantly cleaning. The beds are comfy and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast has waffles, bagels, English muffins, sausage, eggs, packaged muffins, cereals, yogurt, package oatmeal, fruit, tea, coffee & juices. Older temperamental toaster that should be retired....

Overall it was great when I travel to california this us where I stay

Loved the vibe of this hotel. Staff was really friendly, parking was very convenient, and rooms were clean and spacious. Would recommend this place.

Liked - Personable check in clerk. Dislike -The Spa tub was locked up and not usable.
