I was put in a room next to another room that happened to be being renovated and was woken up so early to workers rolling giant carts around and banging on the walls… in my room there were homeless people singing opera till 3am and no conditioner and no small towels…pillows were pretty old and matted.

Great location in Hillcrest for all the LGBT bars/clubs/restaurants. They are still renovating some sections. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating! The beds and pillows are SOO comfortable and clean!! Great stay for the price.

Admittedly, we only stayed in this room for one night. I think this is a hotel that is best suited for short term stays. The rooms are very small but very practical. The beds are comfortable but the bathrooms are tiny. If you're a bigger person like me, you will undoubtedly slam your elbow onto the corner of a towel bar. Unfortunately, the shared kitchen on our floor was out of coffee but there was an excellent coffee shop about two buildings down from the hotel called Better Buzz. Like I said, we stayed there for just one night and it served its purpose. It's central to everything and is incredibly close to the bars in Hillcrest like Flicks and Rich's. So yeah, a solid 3 out of 5. I do not think we will return here.

Paid for parking. Arrived and this is the fourth stay where they were not able to look up my payment and made me comb through emails to verify. Then they didn’t give me a assigned spot but told new to park, “near the gate” after walking the person at the counter to the spot to verify I was woken up after midnight to move my vehicle immediately. Then the next day the spot I was asked to park in next was taken… so I had to come in and figure that out. The apology was to ignore the fact that this is a multiple visit issue, but blamed it on the new girl at the counter (she was lovely and did her best for sure!) then offered to refund only one of the nights parking even though this was a multiple night issue. I’ve stayed here at least 4 times because the location is perfect but this is the last time I’m putting up with the terrible service and systems. Stay further out and uber in… WORTH IT.

The location is very convenient and close to everything, which made getting around easy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. That said, the room was quite small for the price, and the parking was expensive. Overall, it’s a decent option if location matters most, but the value may not be ideal for longer stays or travelers with a lot of luggage.

The room was clean. I had ONE noisy night and after that, silence. Cleaning crew was out every morning, so they are proactive. Front desk personnel were pleasant and helpful. Coffee shop next door and a Whole Foods less that 5 min walking... plus other 'eateries'. I'd use this place again. Only 'issue', I was never able to figure out HOW to use the coffee maker that was in the kitchen on my floor. And neither was the staff member I asked! LOL

Upon arrival, we were assigned a room on the seventh floor along with a designated parking spot. When we went to park, the spot was already occupied, so we returned to the front desk to notify them we parked elsewhere, which did not seem to concern the staff. When we reached our room, the door was wide open and it was clear the room had not been cleaned. Towels were hanging on the bathroom door and left on the floor, indicating a previous guest had checked out without housekeeping servicing the room. We went back downstairs to report this, and the front desk staff appeared largely unbothered. They reassigned us to a new room, but when we attempted to enter, the key did not work, requiring another trip back to the front desk. After the keys were finally corrected, we were able to access the new room, which was acceptable. However, we noticed later that the original room we had been assigned remained open and uncleaned, with the same towels still present. This gave the impression that cleanliness and guest comfort were not a priority for the staff, which made us feel very uncomfortable during our stay.
