I want to give this 5 stars, and would have if I hadn’t had multiple bad experiences with the front desk staff.
The room was clean and well maintained, with housekeeping services every day, which you almost never get anywhere. Nice pool, the parking lot is safe, although a little pricey ($22 a day). All in all a wonderful trip, with a convenient, comfortable room.
The front desk staff started off rough ( the person checking me in was evidently covering someone else’s break who was late (she arrived in the middle of checking in) and the person was taking her anger out on the person before me and myself.
I made a mistake, and thought I had booked until the 7th. The front desk called at 11am, and the first words were “we charge late checkout fees, you already owe me $45.” I apologized, said I was heading down to figure out what happened, and they started with how much I owed before I could get a word out. I wanted to pay for the next day, but because I used an “outside booking agent (Expedia) I would have to pay $205, not the $139 I was paying. So, I got charged $75 dollars for leaving two hours late.
Really soured the great feeling I had for the facility, although I admit check out was partially my fault.
So, long story made short, great room, great location, great and friendly housekeeping staff. Just brace yourself for the folks behind the desk.
