Hotel Riu Ventura - All Inclusive

"Well to begin with my husband and I booked a 12 day trip to the Riu Ventura. Upon arrival our ocean front view was ready! Our room was nice and very clean. The staff was nice except for a few employees who looked burned out in the buffet kitchen omelette area, I could not get that lady to smile, the other was a gentleman than greeted everyone at the steakhouse full of tattoos. And not to mention that they by far had the worst service, not because they weren’t working because the staff was all running with there heads cut off, I believe we were handed off to a very very young man who was not only bussing tables but took our orders and ran our food, but he tried. However, SALVADOR at Agave gave us the BEST service!! While other outlets denied us of iced tea he went above and beyond to make it, he was cross training Samantha who was also spectacular! I might add agave and the Italian restaurant had the best food out of all the restaurants TBH! The enchiladas, mole, chili rellenos, and grouper were fantastic! The Italian had great salmon, they were all so delicious At the lobby bar Ramon and and Juan Diego were VERY VERY attentive and stood out, made delicious cocktails! I did like how the beach area had a young man who brought umbrellas and tables when needed. The adults only pool also had amazing service and it was nice and quiet clean and bathrooms were easily accessible. The buffet was redundant and ok. Omelettes were also a hit. "Overall I had a good week at RIU Cancun. The food was good at all if the restaurants and the buffet was mid. The staff was friendly but the hotel has some stupid dress code stuff for a hotel on the beach. The room was whatever; nothing wowed me and it did not feel high end. I'm not the biggest fan of the location of the resort. I would recommend going a little further south. The parties they offer are fun and worth the trip. The activities provided by the staff were good, nothing fantastic. If you don't care for the big parties, then there is no real reason to go to this resort over other ones."
