「Except we were email/ call 3 times with 24 hours before check-in (I couldn’t help but guessed it was due to they had nobody working after 9pm), everything was beating expectation. Room was decent. Service was excellent - TV remote was available (for our device to connect to hdmi) the minute we asked ; room was cleaned, bed were made, towel replaced, bathroom was cleaned, garbage was cleared daily - which was not the case in most of the motel. We were so excited to bbq in motel public area...

But while the kitchen appliances were retro looking and cute, they weren’t functional for my family’s needs. Glamping with wonderfully comfortable beds, amenities in working condition (shower, bathroom, bbq) and basic necessities (plates, silverware, bbq equipment, etc) thoughtfully provided. Super nice host (provided multiple timely communications and met us on the property as promised). Joshua Tree national park is about 20 min drive. We were able to do some star gazing from the motel grounds as well. The AC was too loud and we turned it off.
