「We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is quiet and has a great vibe. It’s a good 15min walk to the main center of city but is a pleasant walk. Met all our needs. Comfortable bed, clean, cute themed room and most importantly it was quiet.」

「Nice central location. But the windows are very thin and not insulated. That means you will hear every motorcycle rev, car, truck, and conversation. Especially after they get out of the bar that is right on the corner. I suppose if your room was facing the opposite side of the main street you should be good but if not, good luck getting sleep. Also, the blinds were a pain to open and close, be prepared to get your hands get roughed up.」

「Adorable property in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere in downtown Salem. The staff was great and breakfast was good. Unique place to stay that matches the vibe of Salem itself. Very quiet place and I slept better than I have in a long time. Also got to relax with a bath in the claw-foot tub. AMAZING! Highly recommend this property!」

「The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. 」

「Excellent location, easy self-checkin, responsive offsite staff. The room was cozy, clean, and included everything I needed. The only issue was noise - I could hear the people who checked-in above me from 5 pm till they finally went to bed a little after midnight. People seem oblivious to how easily impact noise travels in old NE construction. My room was also overlooking the parking lot and noise carried up easily from that.」

「Beautiful castle building, free coffee at the reception, staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. Overall it’s a very pleasant stay. 」

「This is a very budget motel. I was only staying one night, but there was no dresser or closet or even a shelf, if I wanted to unpack anything from my bag; just two hooks on the wall over the table. The motel had a very dingy feel to it-- not dirty, per se, but dingy. Stains on the ceiling, cigarette burn in the blanket. No tissue box. The toilet tissue wasn't folded over like I usually see in hotels to indicate the room had been cleaned, so I could only hope that it had been. Additionally, the...

「Wonderful room, cool decor and such a neat building. The bed was super comfortable and the space to hang out in the room was relaxing. Location is perfect for browsing the shops and eating out. Using text to communicate with the concierge was also very convenient and easy.」

「To start when you pull up and see broken down vehicles on property and people walking around doesn't give off a good feeling and some of the vehicles have been there a while. While checking staff member is vapiing, although friendly I find that to be unprofessional. The property seems very dog friendly which is great but not when dogs are peeping in the lobby, elevators and even in the hallways by your room. It was very disgusting and not controlled. I have 3 dogs myself and love them but if...
