「A tastefully and comfortably modernised pub in a somewhat downbeat village near the M1 and airport but surprisingly quiet. The M1 is white noise in the background. I couldn't hear the planes. Rooms in the pub's grounds were comfortable with parking right outside and the food was amazing, including breakfast. No soggy mushrooms! If I was a lone female traveller I would feel particularly safe here. Very happy that we broke our journey overnight and will definitely do so again. 」

「I arrived pretty late and I was the last one to check in, the lady who assisted me was polite and helpful. My room was smart and warm. By the way parking was a breeze, didn't struggle to get space. Slept well and the hot full English breakfast was a delight to have. Place is cosy, warm, clean and has exceptional staff. 10 out of 10...」

「Very clean. Is a parking lot nearby 2 mins opposite church £5.80 for 24hrs. Got email with instructions to enter. You need to get code to open little lock boxes just outside front door. Is a restaurant next door, think same owner. Were friendly if need advice to enter. Might want earplugs Sunday morning as church bells ring, but i like that. Overall great place and very reasonable price. Right downtown too. 」

Bar / restaurant offered excellent food and drinks both in the evening and next morning for breakfast. Continental Breakfast included in the price was more than sufficient for our needs. 「My wife and I stayed for just one night. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. What more do you need from a hotel? We will definitely stay should we go back to the area.」
