"We asked hotel to confirm we could have a parking space, they confirmed by email but neglected to mention it would cost £15. Check on was great, friendly person and helpful. Room was nice but metal clothes rack by bed didn’t leave much room and I bashed my knee on drawer knob. Venue was not great for sleep, they had very loud music until 01:15 an we did not sleep well as road was also loud from quite early. Breakfast was ok but staff were everywhere still cleaning up, kept walking past with cleaning products and hoovering and mopping while we were eating which wasn't very nice. Person that served us was nice but manager was nowhere to be found and didn’t appear for check out so having to leave feedback here. Would not recommend staying here on a weekend. Shame as could have been lovely."

"The staff are very welcoming and friendly especially Claire on reception, who explained everything to us in great detail. We stayed for one night this visit and had our children come to the hotel to have dinner with us in the restaurant, the food was very enjoyable. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was excellent a great choice of both continental and cooked breakfast. Manisha went out of her way to get me a decade latte from the bar even though the restaurant was very busy. We would recommend the Delta by Marriott Waltham abbey to family & friends and will be staying there again in the future."

"The surroundings are beautiful. There are a few areas that need a little TLC including in the room I stayed in. I will say my room was immaculately clean with fresh linen and towels. Rose on reception was brilliant, instead of pointing me to my room she took the time to show me the way. The food in restaurant is excellent, 10/10 to the chefs. There are symbols next to food items on menu which I didn't know meaning of, maybe a key chart would be beneficial. Kayla behind the bar was attentive and professional, as were all members of staff I met. Definitely would recommend."

"Stay away from this hotel if there are alternatives. It s too much to say to make u aware of the downfalls but overall it is not worth staying here."

"Great hotel, handy to the tube, plenty of local shops and cafes in walking distance. Room was very clean and spacious. Room did not have carpet, which I thought strange, but it was probably more hygienic. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again."

"The breakfast was okay, unfortuately the bacon was as tough as old boots, unedable, it obviously had been under the hot lamps far to long, no beans or black pudding available. The lift door was very slow to open obviously in need of maintenance, Mirrors in the room smeary, the ensuite dirty and in need of upgrading, shower over bath needs replacing, the shower head needs replacing or cleaning, the controls were hard to operate very stiff, the wash basin tap old and stiff, the WC was dirty inclding the floor area. Other than that the staff were great and very friendly, welcoming, the service perfect and our evening meal amazing "
