"Great stay."

"The location is absolutely ideal. The room was spectacular with an incredible view of the harbor (we were on the 8th floor). Every one of the staff was amazing. Very helpful, including the concierge service outside. Love the pool - especially having 2 dedicated lanes for lap swim. The steam room and dry sauna was awesome. The hot tub always crowded, and often with children under 12 years old ( mostly 3 - 5 year olds) We have a Toyota 4runner and fit fine in the parking garage under the hotel however anything taller would not fit. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"Staff was amazing and accommodating! Great location and walking distance to many areas and stores. We were sad that the restaurant only was open for breakfast and lunch but loved the free afternoon coffee. Rooms were spacious and quiet."

"A beautiful hotel with a rich history! You can't beat the view of the harbor and location for activities. Plus, the Visitor's Center, harbor taxies and tour busses are all within a block. The staff was so friendly and professional. The rooms were awesome, with great beds and pillows. My only complaint is that some rooms have you check in on the 1st floor vs the main lobby. However, the bell hops will assist you with getting you and your luggage there. If you drive a SUV, you won't be able to self-park in the garage. However, the staff will park your car for you in their private lot. I would highly recommend a stay at the Fairmont Empress. Don't forget to book tea!!"

"The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly, parking was safe and breakfast was exceptional. There was even a Nespresso machine in the room! This is such good value. We were on the main floor and was surprised at how quiet our room actually was."

"The rooms are super clean, and well appointed. The bathroom has a separate very large and deep tub. With spray nozzles to rinse with. The coffee markers were both drip and pods, and the hair dryer was a dyson. They even had both an iron and a clothes steamer."

"It was a descent place to stay. Rooms were nice and big but dated. Not a great place if you have someone with you that has mobility issues. Stairs down into the lodge were gravel with a wood outline and quite steep to our building anyway. "

"The hotel is very dated and I would not qualify it as 3 stars. The staff were kind and the bed and bathroom were clean however, the rooms are a mismatch of furniture with old finishes. The vinyl flooring was cracked. The bathroom fan was automatic with the light and sounded like a 747 was flying in. The coil burners in the kitchenette also seemed like a fire hazard."
