「Cute place, helpful host.」

「Staff super helpful. Because I am direction challenged, I had a problem with finding the exact location. GPS was not helpful either. Signs point in general direction but I still needed to ask a few local people.」

「Staff were great. We booked the plunge pool suite which unfortunately did not have any desk so we had to downgrade to a junior suite. The plunge pool was quite cold and dirty though anyways so we wouldn't have used it. Location is nice. The pool is small like a 1-2 person max with 2 loungers. Hotel overall is clean and it's a steep walk to town but a taxi is around 2500 CRC. They did provide a dining credit for the 2 meals I had with my wife at the restaurant, which is fair since it was my...

「The staff was super nice. Breakfast was good. This is a budget friendly hotel in a great location, walking distance to downtown. We did the Monteverde coffee tour: it was super instructive. We also recommend Choco Cafe: the food was sooo delicious!」

「Super hôtel dans un coin calme avec tous les services dont on a besoin. Le personnel était adorable, le déjeuner excellent. Tout était parfait」

「Todo perfecto」

「Wonderful hotel close to everything and the staff, especially Mateo and Jessica in the restaurant were nice.」

「Our stay at Cala Lodge was an absolute delight! What a very special place Francisco and family have created! We loved staying in the Mathilda House. It was perfect for our family of 5, ages 14-82, nestled in the cloud forest with floor to ceiling windows. It was incredible to see wildlife pass by, we felt lucky to be guests in their well-loved and protected forest. We had dreams and conversations with the howler monkeys throughout the night, and agoutis, coatis and diverse birds were easily seen...

「We had a great stay at Valle Escondido. Our room was very clean and the view was great. We got to see a lot of wildlife right by the building we were in because the resort was less busy in the rainy season, and we got lucky with the weather. We really enjoyed our night hike on the trails on the property - only wish it were longer! Overall, a great stay. Food was good although variety is a bit limited in the off season.」

「We stayed for three nights. The rooms were spacious, clean, with comfortable beds. The staff is amazing (I’d like to call out Adonis who is part of the dining/bar staff) and very helpful. The breakfast is also really nice. It is conveniently located a short walk from the town center. Overall, ticked all the boxes.」

「Milady and the staff were extraordinarily thoughtful and accommodated my family of 5 checking out late so we could complete our zip line experience!」

「Incredibly clean property with a delicious breakfast. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful!」

「Simply enchanting - we loved every minute there」

「Fabulous hotel, albeit a little overpriced for the amenities. We wished we would have stayed longer. We preferred Monteverde to La Fortuna. Saw more wildlife on this property than our whole trip! Great, large breakfast with lots of options for vegans!」

「The hotel has the right kind of luxury for Monteverde, not flashy or high-tech, but everything is clean and nice, staff is helpful, the location is great and the place is beautiful. The sauna and the jacuzzi are GREAT, and we had monkeys crossing the trees above us while we relaxed there; the food is delicious. We loved our stay!」

「Great stay. Very easy for our family of 5.」
