"The staff were friendly and tried their best to speak English- the food was good. The view from the room was good. In places the property condition was not good. 1. In my room at the bottom of the window had many dead insects. 2 In one of the spas on the walls the paint seemed to have gone black in places. And in the outside

there was a blue sheet up to cover a broken balcony floor and fence. The fence was broken, and there was a rope up to stop people going near the fence. 3 just outside...

"A fantastic ryokan experience. We had a delux room with private bathroom. Slept on mats on the floor which was surprisingly comfortable. The onsen offered 2 small hot baths covered and open to outdoors. Breakfast was amazing, offering Japanese and American style cuisine. Had difficult time finding restaurants for dinner, not many choices and they fill up early. Walkable to most sights. "

"The hotel was recently renovated but unfortunately there was an unpleasant odor throughout the facility… robot waiters are not necessary… money might be better spent freshening the rooms so that they don’t smell bad. "
