"A slice of heaven. From Buddys warm greeting to everyone on staff they are just the nicest, most witty and welcoming staff I’ve ever seen, without being pretentious. The chef hits it out of the park, creative and expertly prepared and freshly sourced. "Black Bear lodge is a great getaway and excellent base to explore the area as it’s so central. We had excellent communication ahead of our check in, a real warm welcome and helpful with dining tips.
The room was spacious and comfortable.
The lodge is just off the main road but if we heard a car we didn’t notice, it’s so quiet around there.
The place is ideal if you’re looking to escape a few days, there was fresh coffee and pastries in the morning and loads of free parking.

"We only stayed one night at the Starlite Motel. This motel is not like other places we have stayed. It was quiet and it had character. We really liked that our room included a small kitchen. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The backyard area was great for us to relax with friends and play games. I would love to come back and stay longer to enjoy the area and I would definitely take advantage of the grills and fire pit. If you’re looking for “modern” this may not be for you, but if you’re looking for something quaint with a little character, it is perfect. We loved our one night stay and would like to visit again in the future. "

Only improvement would be cleaning of room . We got a message while out asking if we would like the room cleaned that day with a circa 3 hour window that cleaners were available . We asked for it to be and unfortunately it wasn’t when we returned. Put it down to message system delays but think better system needed than this. Definately worth visiting though . "
