「We have been coming here for the last few years for the Durango Iron Horse Classic tour. We stay in the cabins. The cabins are cleans, beds are comfortable, and the property is chill. The cabins have running water and air conditioning. Great bargain overall.」

「Far from Downtown, on the main road (noisy), broken tiles in bathroom, air conditioner loud and did not cool the room much, single-ply toilet paper, no shampoo/conditioner, door lock very difficult to open with actual brass key. Room was clean. Pricepoint was good but not considering the condition. We were disappointed.」

Built in 1898 and carrying every bit of that history, the General Palmer is a AAA Four Diamond property that manages to feel both grand and genuinely personal at the same time. 「On a 90th birthday trip with my mom…had a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the river…just lovely! Super comfy beds in a spacious room with a modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much!」
