"Staff was excellent and helpful. Facilities and rooms were very clean. Out room was spacious. It was somewhat up and down for noise level. Was quiet for most of our stay except for our last night. For such a new hotel, i was surprised that I could be a part of the conversation with the next room or people passing in the halls. It might have been because it was kids/teens that were next to us."

"Honestly, it’s a shame the place is run down and smells musty. Looks nothing like the pictures online. We went in February and they still Christmas decorations up on the second floor. The onsite restaurant closes at 3pm and the on the house martinis were limited to like 3 kinds, so I don’t even get any. Didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on that. The rooms need lots of TLC, and the parking is not on site. Overall, for the money I would stay somewhere else.the one girl during check out was nice, otherwise staff was pretty ehhh. "

"I love this hotel, we've been going here since it was the Monterey in the late 90s. It's clean, the staff is great and the location is in the historic area right on the bay. You just park your car and there is no need to get back in it till you leave. The trolly stops right in front and you can get off and on all day in the historic area."
