"This room was a bargain for location. Overall the room was nice we were celebrating our honeymoon. Staff was excellent very nice and helpful. Parking was convenient we parked in the ramp across the street it was $62 per day in and out. The room itself overall could have been better. We booked a suite and the furnishings were uncomfortable such as the couch and pillows were very used. Bed and bedding were very subpar bed was low and a bit uncomfortable mattress was basic. We were there for 3 nights and we had lukewarm water to bathe in each night. Called the front desk and they said the pipes were old and we needed to run the sink water on hot in the bathroom to draw the hot water to the shower. That worked temporarily but the water never got hot hot and you had about 12min until it started to run cold. This was my second time in this hotel and while overall I consider it an economical choice I likely wouldn’t book again for my stay."

"Our stay at the Millennium Hotel Knickerbocker Chicago was a mixed experience. The biggest downside was check-in — the front desk associate was unpleasant, seemed completely uninterested in being there, and rushed us through the process. We had a few questions, but it felt like she didn’t want to answer them, which made for a disappointing first impression. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the hotel’s location is excellent — within walking distance to almost everything, which made getting around Chicago super convenient. At checkout, we overheard that we were supposed to receive 20% off breakfast. When they also checked my VIP status, we realized the associate who checked us in hadn’t applied either benefit or mentioned them to us. Aside from the poor customer service at the front desk, the hotel itself was perfectly fine. With better attention to guest service, this could have been a much better stay"

"We had a lovely stay at The Drake. Most of the entry staff were very pleasant and welcoming-some were rude or indifferent. The building is older, but has so much character! The business center was an absolute nightmare and letdown when I needed it—thankful a front desk staff member (Maritza) saved the day! She was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind. The amenities and shops in the building were a nice little perk. Our view of the water was partially obstructed by the building itself, but still nice. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again."
