We've travelled all over Japan and stayed at a variety of spots including hostels, inns, hotels, ryokans and resorts. Unfortunately, this is, by far, the worst hotel we've experienced in Japan, to-date.
The first issue is the lack of service. Prince likely takes its "Smart" name by leaning into technology...and angle that's become outdated as many of its features are now available in other hotels of all price ranges.
They only offer auto-check-in/out kiosks. The hotel floors we had access to (B1 for laundry, 2F for vending machine, and 4F for our floor) all consistently smelled like deep-fry. The rooms were so dusty that it triggered a serious allergic reaction on several nights. The hotel included breakfast, but we visited at different hours thru out our stay and witnessed items being "sold out" only to be re-added shortly after.
Above all, the two worst aspects of the Prince are their unwillingness to store luggage, and their taxi hailing service. Taxis must be booked via a QR code on their lobby smart TV screen w/ a min 3hr advance booking time. If you're urgently in need of a taxi like we were, don't count on their staff helping - they're reluctant to engage in ANY form of interaction with customers.
Rooms are extremely small, so if you still plan to stay here, it's going to be for the location, and truthfully, nothing else. Will not be returning/recommending this spot to anyone.
