Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa

"Nice place , big room for family of 4, 10 min walk from station. If you dont take the breakfast at the hotel there is 2 restaurent nearby but close very early or are close on Wednesday, need to stop at 7 eleven for food. Otherwise everything else was nice. We book the private onsen for only 25$. They provide you with all the essential and yukata like you use to have in onsen resort. There is a outdoor terrace where you can soak your feet in hot water."

"Unfortunately this property did not meet expectations and was grossly overpriced. The Japanese style room was very dated but a nice size. Good AC. The food was great and there were a lot of options. The property needed to be cleaned and updated. The area outside of the property is shocking. It is filled with abandoned buildings that are various states of disrepair. It felt unsafe. Transportation wasn’t great. I booked the bus- which is said to be an amenity- only to learn we had to pay getting off. Good thing I had cash. People were nice but I’d never go back."

"A wonderful experience. They made our first visit to the area a wonderful experience. The large onsen was just what our group needed after hiking and walking all day in Nikko. We all slept amazing. Quiet, clean and excellent service from the staff. Highly recommended."

"I stayed only for one night but the hotel was excellent, staff were helpful, spacious Japanese style room. A bit of walk from the Kinugawa Onsen Station but it is a nice walk. I will stay again if I am in the area again."

"見た目より中は思ったほど古い感じはなく、部屋からの景色も癒されました。 少し部屋の風呂が下水臭かったのと蛇口の赤い方が温水になるのにとても時間がかかったのが残念です。 宿が大きいからでしょうが、朝食・夕食ともに二部制だったのですが、30分単位で入れをずらすなどで混雑緩和してくれるとうれしいです。 またぜひゆっくりしに行きたいです。"
