The Hotel is an old converted town house with all the rooms upstairs. Big wide staircases no lift. The pub next door has a good selection of food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay. .」

「We had a delightful time at the Troutbrook Inn. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, plus they were certainly dog friendly. As this was my first time travelling with my dogs this was so reassuring. Would certainly book again if making a return visit to the area. 」

「We have been to Ambleside many times but this was our first stay here. Lovely B&B in great location in town. Hosts friendly and welcoming. Bedroom small but comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast excellent. Would definitely return.」

「I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. I didn’t want to leave! The owner was very welcoming and helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries. I would recommend highly. 」
