Absolutely lovely pub hotel. Rooms were great, comfortable beds, great selection of tea/coffee sachets in the room and a good smart TV. The breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. So quiet and peaceful but 3 minute drive to Ullswater. I walked down to Aira Force from the hotel which was a bonus. We'll be back!

We were impressed by the friendliness and excellent service provided by all staff. Our room (no 6) was comfortable. Just one note of warning: the entrance way to the bathroom is VERY low; it is a safety issue calling for attention. Dinners in the restaurant were well suited to hungry walkers: we enjoyed the food; it was well prepared and presented. Breakfasts were good; a bowl of fresh fruit and a better range of cereals would have been welcome. The hotel is in a very pleasant and peaceful rural setting.

The hotel was only 5 mins walk to Aira force fabulous walks nearby. The food at the hotel was amazing as was the breakfasts. Free parking onsite a really lovely place to stay would definitely stay again
