「The pool was out of service but I do not fault them for that. The efforts to make this property nice definitely show. I appreciate the welcomeness of all staff」

「I had a pleasant stay overall. The young front desk guy with curly hair was not only handsome but also extremely kind — truly six-star service! I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, and he allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The hotel was clean and comfortable, definitely worth five stars. 「很不错，孩子在泳池玩得很开心。」

「Nice and clean property and the staff was good, the only negative is a few times the maid service didn't compete their task, they left trash in the room but overall we enjoyed our stay」

「Nice」

「Great hotel with authentic character and charm. This is a historical property so don't expect the latest amenities, but the staff were very friendly and served a great breakfast. I look forward to staying at the Spencer House again.」

「The room was spacious and comfortable. Pool was spotless. The beach was just a few steps away. Close to historic downtown shopping district, nature trails, and seafood restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful. We've stayed here a couple of times, and we'll definitely be back.」

「Got off cruise and let me check in early. They are remodeling so that is why I didn't give full marks.」

「Did not like to have to pay for parking, unnecessary additional expense」

「We found this property on another trip a month ago, and were impressed. It's convenient to Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island. While a lot of properties are cutting back on their breakfast buffets, the quality here remains excellent. There's really only one draw-back: the lack of a coffee maker in the room. But if you don't mind waandering to the breakfast area in your pajamas, they don't seem to mind either.」
