「Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon」

「This was our 4th visit to the thatch cottage and ppossibly the last. 1. Arrived at 3pm as on booking form door lockked all in darkness no one around. 2. 5 pm a lady turned up unlocked and let us in and booked in and showed us to the room, told us breakfast times but no evening meals on monday or tuesday. Room was ok 3. Went for breakfast next morning in darkness,only one cereal bowl no plates for toast no tea or coffee or milk ,no one around to ask,found plates and bowl in kitchen,butter had...

「UNIQUE!!!!!?? in room 7 to turn the light on over the mirror__rotate the bulb!!! I liked that. Double aspect room. Excellent. Everything was spotless. All fixtures and fittings in the room were top quality and imacculately installed. Excellent breakfast. To nit- pic, the toilet was set too high off the floor. One less robust pillow would have been nice. There seemed to be no lighting to the front of the building, maklng it difficult to locate in the dark. I would definitely stay again.」

「Wow!!! Upon arrival our hearts sank. As you look at the building the right side looked dilapidated - curtains across windows at an angle and an air of disrepair. We almost drove back out. However once you enter the double doors it’s like another world. Great reception area, clean and bright with two friendly receptionists ready to book in guests. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b.」

「Staff were great, room was tidy. Only downside was the breakfast. Wife is gluten free and although the breakfast was labelled really well……they cross contaminated the breakfast items at the server. The chef was really helpful and cooked a separate breakfast but the cross contamination should never had happened in the first place. Putting gluten sausages with bacon to keep warm is a no no.」
