"I have stayed at the Horse and Jockey several times now. The rooms are simple (and the beds an le comfy and cozy all we need). Tthe shared bathrooms are great. Nice and clean and have an art deco style vibe. The pub had a great menu and the vibe is good. Will continue to come back. "

"Have had 4 weekends stays here since Xmas and have always been happy for the money paid. I've twice had minor problems with a blocked sink, but I've always had A/C's that worked well, fridges that worked well and froze water and very clean rooms. Rare features in budget hotels these days. And the hotel and grounds are always clean and tidy. "

"The room rate was great value, beds were comfortable enough and the room itself was clean and spacious. Conveniently located a short walk to Granville train station. The bar was very quiet and staff were friendly and helpful. Hand soap in the shared bathrooms would have been great. Cigarette smoke was wafting into our room through the small gap under the door throughout the night."
